V22 is pleased to announce the presentation of a series of screenings throughout September and October of twenty-one of Werner Herzog’s films to coincide with other events marking his forthcoming visit to London: The Royal Festival Hall will host Conquest of the Useless, an Intelligence Squared live event with Werner Herzog and Paul Holdengräber, on October 3rd; the Barbican Centre is screening a selection of Herzog’s works as part of their Directorspective series from September 12th. There may be many ways to explore – and indeed, celebrate - Herzog’s rich and abundant work as a filmmaker, V22’s celebration shall take its cue of simplicity and directness from Herzog himself: "Film should be looked at straight on.
