CEDRIC CHRISTIE

Cedric Christie, Mickey, 2008

Cedric Christie was born in London in 1962, and lives and works in London. His work explores a broad range of cultural and art historical references, often using humour and irony as subtle vehicles of communication. Incorporating and manipulating everyday objects such as cars, snooker balls and scaffolding, he creates objects that are meticulously and skilfully made and that become both a critical appraisal of modernism as well as a playful exploration of form and meaning. Cedric is represented by Flowers East, London and Galerie Frederic Desimple, Brussels, and has exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally.
