Celso Afonso Gay de Castro was born in 1943 and died at the age of 41, in 1984, in Porto Alegre. Between his birth and his premature and mysterious death, he lived a life of militancy, successive exiles, loves and children. The documentary, directed by Castro’s daughter, Flavia Castro, takes the form of a travel diary through the countries that Celso lived while in exile (and Flavia Celso lived as a child) - Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela and France. Diario de Uma Busca (2010) is a trajectory beyond History: a family, with children, dogs, bags forever being packed and unpacked, but that also refers to a generation of left wing militants of the sixties and seventies.
