King Solomon's Mines (1985) is an adventure film loosely based on the novel of the same title written by H. Rider Haggard a hundred years earlier. Directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Gene Quintano and James R. Silke, the film is a light, comedic take on the original story, deliberately referencing and parodying Indiana Jones. The film was shot in Harare, Zimbabwe. 

V22 is a shared ownership art organisation, which specialises in the collection of contemporary art, the production of exhibitions and events, and the provision of artists’ studios.
