Domenico has worked in the visual arts, as a scenographer, a designer, a chef and as a producer of musicals. He co-created the Imperial Orchestra and the group 0 + 2, releasing 5 albums between 2001 and 2009. As a musician he has accompanied artists such as Caetano Veloso, Marisa Monte Fernanda Abreu, Quarteto Jobim-Morelembaum, Chrissie Hynde and Chiara Civello and has created the CD artwork for MV Bill, Wilson das Neves and Fino Coletivo.

Made in collaboration with Paulo Camacho, Cidades Mescladas (Merged Cities) combines filmmaking, music and architecture. Lancellotti films Rio de Janeiro as a hybrid city: layer by layer, from its iron pipes, its large sewage galleries and historic centre, to its macumba rituals, fairs, sights, bars, food, insects and people. Camacho captures images of the city, whilst, in partnership with a London musician-producer, Lancellotti produces the soundtrack. Sound and image is put together, creating a poetic documentation of the two Olympic cities.
